The WaterCAD/GEMS numerical engine has always prevented tanks from overflowing by closing any links that supply inflow to a full tank. A new option “Allow Overflow?” is now available under the list of Tank physical properties (also for Surge Tanks). When set to true, the tank is allowed to overflow when it becomes full. The default for the field is False. The setting is available in all Engine Compatibility modes except EPANET 2.00.10 and EPANET 2.00.12 so as to maintain compatibility with those engine modes.

The description for the field is as follows: Defines whether the tank is able to overflow when full. Only applies when an Engine Compatibility mode that supports the feature is selected.
